Feb. 6, 7 p.m.Ages 5 and up
Storytelling Concert with Donald Davis and Bil Lepp. Bil is a six-time champion of the West Virginia Liar's Contest, and while his stories may not be completely true, they are always honest. Donald tells stories so personal, you’re sure to find yourself in every one of them—and a friend along the way. A "don't miss this one" performance presented in partnership with the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival Midwinter Conference. This event will be held at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center (1355 West 3100 South, West Valley City). No strollers or babes in arms, please.

Teen Advisory Club. Join the Teen Advisory Board. Help plan library programs for teens, meet new friends and earn volunteer hours. Registration/complete volunteer application and interview required.
Feb. 11, 2 p.m.Families
Wild Wonders. The Wild Things are at the library. See and learn about a variety of wild and exotic animals that have been rescued and are now ambassadors for the wonderful world of the animal kingdom. Learn about the animal habitats, what they eat, how they live and what you can do to help them thrive.
Feb. 13, 6 p.m.Families
Family Movie Night. Bring the family for a free movie at the library. No food or drink. Bring your own pillows and blankets. Tonight’s feature is “The Smurfs.”
Feb. 18, 10 a.m.Families
Life-Sized Candyland. Candyland has jumped off the board and into the library! Families can sign up at the Information Desk beginning Feb. 2 to play a game. There will be four games, beginning on the 1/2 hour. Up to 16 players per game.

Teen Book Club. Get ready for the anticipated “Hunger Games” movie release by discussing The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Meetings are the third Tuesday of every month. Treats provided.

Book Trailer Contest. Celebrate Teen Tech Month by participating in our Book Trailer Contest. Come to the Reference Desk for details and entry forms. Teen Anime Club Sweet Swap. Hey, anime fans. Looking for an anime club? Whitmore has one. Come join us as we learn a bit about the Japanese pop culture, preview some anime, meet new friends and more. This month we're doing a sweet swap and anime. Feel free to bring your favorite, unopened treat and dress in costume. The library will still provide refreshments, so come and find out how awesome other cultures can be.
