Snowbird's popular, annual fall tram rides to the top of the mountain are currently on hold due to some tram maintenance. So check with Snowbird or www.Snowbird.com for updates on whether the rides will resume this weekend -- Nov.5 and 6.

Snowbird offers the free tram rides -- called Customer Appreciation Days -- in exchange for a donation to the Utah Food Bank or Wasatch Adaptive Sports, Guests may bring either a can of food, a hygiene item or $3, to Snowbird on Saturday or Sunday, Nov. 5 and 6, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Requested hygiene items are toothpaste, soap, baby diapers and wipes. Preferred canned food items are peanut butter, tuna, chili, soup/stew, vegetables, fruit, beans and spaghetti sauce. Acceptable boxed foods are rice, macaroni and cheese, boxed dinners, cake mix and pasta. Special-needs foods, such as low-sugar and low-sodium goods, are also appreciated.
