Photography course to be offered
The Holladay Arts Council is hosting a photography course and contest with the theme of "FOCUS on Holladay." The free photography course will be held Saturday, May 21, from 10-11:30 a.m. with photographer Jacob Bruner.
Directly after this course, applicants may go out as a group or solo from May 20 to May 27 to take photos around Holladay.
On Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., framed photographs should be submitted at Holladay City Hall, 4580 South 2300 East. There will be a cash award for best photos and a reception held Friday, June 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Holladay City Hall, Little Cottonwood Room.
Participants need not reside in Holladay, but all photos submitted must be taken in Holladay (see map on application) and must be taken between May 20 and May 27, 2011. Children and teens are encouraged to submit. Selected photos will be hung in City Hall May 30 through June 17.
